The project began with a note found inside a package of rolling papers. It explained the term “Backfisch,” once used to describe adolescent girls, and originally linked to fishing practices. This became the starting point for a photo book that engages with visual elements associated with adolescence. The images shift between observation and staging, without following a fixed narrative. What remains from a time that is still unfolding?
